Andreas Brunner is a visual artist born in Switzerland, currently based in Reykjavik. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Lucerne University of Applied Science and Arts, and graduated from the Masters program in Fine Arts at the Iceland Academy of the Art. Over the past years, Andreas has developed a practice that is not particularly bound to a certain medium, but is rather a consistent revising of concepts that can manifest in various forms. These concepts often refer to cultural development, creation of meaning as well as perceptual concepts of time and materiality.
During his residency at SODAS 2123, Andreas plans to further develop work sketches through an experimental approach. These work sketches mainly concern sculptural elements, drawings as well as essayistic video sketches in conjunction to his artistic research.
SODAS 2123 residency program supported by Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilnius city municipality.
