Tamar Sabashvili is a photographer, graphic designer, and visual artist based in Gori, Georgia. She is currently affiliated with Art-House Gori, an independent cultural and artistic space, where she contributes to a dynamic community of artists engaged in collaborative projects, exhibitions, and cultural initiatives.

Her artistic practice centers on the documentation of everyday life, with a particular focus on uncovering the poetic and emotional dimensions of ordinary moments. Working primarily with photography, Sabashvili captures the subtle atmospheres and transient qualities of daily experience, revealing the beauty embedded in the seemingly mundane.

Her recent work continues this exploration, examining themes of memory, presence, and the interplay between personal experience and the surrounding environment. Through a sensitive and observant approach, she seeks to articulate how fleeting moments can hold lasting emotional resonance.

Tamar Sabashvili’s residency at SODAS 2123 is implemented within the framework of the „International Study Visit Programme“, one of the components of the Creative Compass Georgia project. This initiative offers creatives a unique opportunity to gain new knowledge and skills in the cultural and creative industries (CCI) through international exchange and collaboration.

Creative Compass Georgia project is funded by EU and co-funded and implemented by the Goethe-Institut Georgien.

SODAS 2123 activities are supported by the Lithuanian Council for Culture and Vilnius city municipality.
