Gathering around the fire is an ancient tradition that evokes warmth, protection, and a sense of unity. In many cultures, fire is intertwined with storytelling, rituals, and community bonding, while in Lithuanian tradition, the stove was the heart of the home. The practice of cooking over open flames, in stoves, or with modern alternatives continues to play a vital role in contemporary community gatherings.
We invite you to shape and nurture emerging space of OVEN PAVILION in Vilnius by sharing your ideas and visions for the public program. Whether you’re interested in organizing a pancake-flipping contest, leading an apple jam cooking workshop, hosting a musical improvisation, sharing your insights on vegetable fermentation, celebrating a harvest festival, or creating another unique way for us to gather around the fire, we want to hear what the OVEN PAVILION is telling you!
SODAS 2123 offers 300 Euros artistic fee to selected event creators and 150 Euros for event production.
Event proposals are welcome until July 22nd.
The results will be announced on July 28th.
Selected events and activities are planned to be included in this year’s August-October program.
