Clay Playground Workshop

2025-06-27

On Wednesday, 2 July, from 6:30 pm, we warmly invite our young friends to join us for an evening of games and discovery at the Clay Playground. This time, clay meets 3D printing and theatre games in two engaging workshops! 🧡

🟠 Ignas Pavliukevičius: ‘Clay and 3D Printers: When New and Old Technologies Meet’

In this educational workshop, children will explore two seemingly distant yet creatively intertwined materials: clay and 3D printing. They’ll mould their own clay pots and decorate them with 3D-printed imprints of traditional Lithuanian folk patterns and symbols. The activity offers a hands-on introduction to clay as one of humanity’s oldest creative tools, and a glimpse into the possibilities of modern digital production.

🟠 Markas Liberman: ‘Clay Games’

Circus artist Markas Liberman will lead an educational workshop where clay meets theatre games, inviting children to explore their creativity through playful engagement with clay. Just as circus artists can create a miracle out of a simple object, children will be encouraged to discover new ways to play, create, and express themselves through playfulness, material, and movement. Participants will engage in a variety of theatre games that nurture self-expression and creativity. In these games, clay becomes an active character: it will be touched, kneaded, and transformed, as children observe how it responds to their hands, emotions, and gestures.
