On Thursday, 7 August, from 6:30 pm, our young friends are once again invited to come together for play and exploration in an artist-led workshop at the Clay Playground. Surrounded by urban nature, we’ll wander through dreamlike worlds of imagination, shaping our own ceramic creations by hand ![]()
Kamilė Krasauskaitė: Dream Guides
In this workshop, children’s inner worlds meet nature and dreamy imagination, guided by a small clay companion created with their own hands. Each participant is invited to shape a personal character – a friend or dream hero – who helps them navigate various states of mind, desires, fears, and moments of growth. The focus is not only on what is imagined but also on how imagination is embodied: through breathing, visualisation, kneading clay, and sculpting a new companion.
The workshop unfolds like a miniature inner map, offering children the space to explore what it means to have an inner ally, to listen to their inner voice, and to give shape to a talisman or friend of their own making.
Workshop duration: 60–90 min
Age group: 7–9 years
Rokas Dovydėnas: Ceramics Class
This creative ceramics class invites children to create a unique clay artwork with their own hands. During the session, we will explore basic moulding techniques, learning how to shape different forms and create surface textures. As we work with clay, we’ll also discuss its symbolic meanings, traditional uses, and potential as a medium for artistic expression. Children will be encouraged not only to create a beautiful object but also to tell a small story through it – about themselves, nature, and time.
Workshop duration: 60 min.
Age group: up to 10 years old
Workshop schedule:
6:30 pm: Kamilė Krasauskaitė – Dream Guides
7:30 pm: Rokas Dovydėnas – Ceramics Class
The workshops are free of charge and open to all.
On 7 August, a free LIVE SODAS concert will also take place in the courtyard of the cultural centre SODAS 2123. More info >> https://fb.me/e/3mcUxY821

Kamilė Krasauskaitė is an artist and curator working across multiple disciplines and dimensions. Her practice unfolds through installations, sculptures, paintings, publications, and social events. She explores ancient crafts as deep codes for unlocking connections between everyday life and ancestral knowledge, including indigenous cultural beliefs and practices. Her work is deeply tied to place and space, exploring how environments – both natural and built – can act as portals for physical, mystical, and psychological transformation for human and non-human beings alike.
Launched at the beginning of summer, the Clay Playground marks a new direction for SODAS 2123’s educational programme – a series of seasonal playgrounds and accompanying activities developed in collaboration with curator Vilius Vaitiekūnas. Throughout the summer, SODAS 2123 will host workshops for children led by various artists, offering opportunities to play, explore, and experience the world with clay in their hands.
