AUDRA x SODAS 2123 RESIDENCY. OPEN CALL

2025-03-26

Audra Festival (Kaunas) and SODAS 2123 (Vilnius) invite one artist for a two-month residency in Vilnius (July–August), with an additional two-week stay in Kaunas. This residency offers a unique opportunity to engage with the vibrant Vilnius art scene, develop new work, and participate in the contemporary program of Audra Festival, all while connecting with the creative community at SODAS 2123.

Financial support

  • For the development phase at SODAS 2123: round-trip travel (up to €500) and a one-time fee of €800.
  • For the production/presentation phase in Kaunas: accommodation (up to 14 days) in Kaunas, per diems (up to 14 days), and one-time production support of €500.

AUDRA offers (during the production/presentation phase)

  • A funded production and presentation opportunity for artists across disciplines during the festival as part of the main exhibition and/or performance program and/or Edible City project.
  • Accommodation in Kaunas during the installation process and the festival.
  • Access to necessary production facilities and workspace.
  • Support from a curator, exhibition architects, a light designer, a sound designer, engineers and a production manager.

We are particularly seeking practitioners whose work engages with the rich and multifaceted worlds of night cultures, raves, performative practices, and food. From the pulsating energy of underground dance floors to the ritualistic aspects of shared meals, we are interested in how these experiences create spaces for collective expression, transformation, and resistance. Festivals are more than just gatherings—they are feasts for the senses, moments of intensified meaning, and opportunities to nourish both body and spirit. We want to explore how these elements intertwine, shaping new forms of togetherness, pleasure, and critical reflection.
