Aaron McLaughlin is an interdisciplinary artist working in film, sculpture, writing, performance and curation. Alongside his artistic practice, he runs Still Making Art, a community development platform that aims to support artists in the initial and usually most turbulent stages of their career.
In 2020, McLaughlin was invited as an assistant curator for the exhibition Private Song 사적인 노ᄅ at the Doosan Art Centre in Seoul, South Korea, and was a remote artist-in-residence at Sapporo Tenjinyama Art Studio in Japan until early 2021. In 2022, he organised the exhibition Still Making Art Klaipėda while in residence at Klaipėdos Culture Communication Centre, Lithuania, and recently founded the autonomous art space Gallery Ellipsis – a 200-square-metre gallery in central Amsterdam dedicated to unestablished artists.
