The cultural center SODAS 2123 together with FAMM invites to the “Animatest” series of workshops on 3D animation and photogrammetry. It will take place on 16 September, 5 p.m. – 7 p.m. at FAMM space (Vitebsko str. 21, Vilnius).
There will be an introduction to 3D technologies, a brief overview of 3D history and 3D animation and modeling programs. There will also be a presentation of various 3D animations and a discussion about how they were created . Additionally, with the help of smartphones and photogrammetry, space and objects will be “scanned”, transferring them into virtual space.
The workshop will be lead by Laura Vakarė Dubosaitė-Povilaitytė.
Laura Vakarė Dubosaitė Povilaitytė is an animator living in Vilnius. She is currently studying animation at the Vilnius Academy of Arts. Most of the topics she deals with are related to psychology, emotions and experiences. The artist is interested in and engages with various animation techniques: from 2D, drawing to video game development.
She will be assisted by animator Agnė Lukoševičiūtė.
Location: FAMM space (Vitebsko st. 21, Vilnius; SODAS 2123, next to the Atletika gallery)
The event will be held in Lithuanian and is free to attend.
This workshop is part of the “Educational Workshop Series Blossom” project organized by SODAS 2123.
